Woolsey, Patricia

Patricia Woolsey, RDT, is both a professional drama coach and an instructor to other early childhood educators on incorporating different art forms like puppetry, storytelling, drama, movement, and music into their preschool curricula. Early in her career, Patricia was certified as a Montessori Primary Teacher. Her recent work with young children is highlighted by running drama and visual arts camps for 4-year-olds and leading drama classes for preschoolers, among others. Over the years, Patricia has taught hundreds of students of all ages and dozens of educators as well. She currently works for Wolftrap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, ArtStream, Inc., and The Educational Theatre Company. Patricia is also a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT). In 2013, Patricia received the Community Award from Montgomery County Executive’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities.
