Lisandrea Wentland earned a certificate in Deaf Studies and graduated summa cum laude with an Associates Degree in Sign Language Interpreting. She also holds a BA in Communication, specializing in cross-cultural communication, and has completed several courses towards a Masters in Education. Lisandrea has worked as a professional ASL interpreter in a variety of settings. She has taught ASL since 1995 to children from infancy through high school, and was a certified instructor through the Sign2Me program for youth. Her mentoring experience has covered lessons not only in ASL, but also art, engineering, literature, and Latin in classical and faith-based programs, secular co-ops, and summer enrichment classes. Lisandrea lives in Nokesville where she homeschools her three children.
