Fall Feature! Special Classes for the Youngest Homeschoolers (PreK/K)

Compass has several fun classes this fall for the youngest homeschoolers! Whether you are just dipping your toe into homeschooling with your young children or you will have little ones tagging along while older brothers and sisters are in class, we have options for the age 5 and under crowd:

  • STEM Storytime with Penny’s Puppets (ages 3 & 4): Professional story teller Penny Russell brings a colorful cast of puppet characters each week as she reads science and nature themed stories, plays games, and sings songs to teach science concepts.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) for Little Fingers (ages 5-7/ K-2nd): Fun, play-based class to learn greetings, colors, numbers, and everyday items in the hand-signed language of the Deaf community. Great early language option for kiddos who are delayed in English reading/writing.
  • SoccerShots (ages 4 & 5): Organized like a mini-weekly soccer camp where young children learn basic mechanics of soccer such as passing, dribbling, and shooting through imaginative games in a fun, supportive, small-group setting.
  • Little Hands Music (ages 1 – 4): An award winning family music and movement classes for young children and their parents.
  • Pre-Engineering with LEGO (ages 5-7/ K-2nd): Young builders explore concepts in physics, mechanics, and structures as they build stunt cars and ramps, houses and cities, airplanes and airports, simple bridges and more.
  • Spanish Amigos (ages 5-7/ K-2nd): Is a play-based, partial immersion Spanish where children will be exposed to the sounds, vocabulary, and phrases through songs, games, stories, interactive and hands-on activities.

    During breaks where your preschooler is not in a his/her own class, Compass families also enjoy the grassy lawns, wooded paths, and playground with their younger children. Compass also has a nursery and social hall while you wait with little ones.
