New Winter Waiting Areas at Compass!

We know that winter quarter brings more people inside when it is too cold or too wet to enjoy Compass’ playground and grassy lawns. (But we have had plenty of warm winter days where the kids can get back outside too!)

To make sure that everyone is comfortable and has a place to wait, we are excited to announce that we are opening 3 more spaces for families to wait while other children are in classes this winter!

In addition to the 80-person Social Hall (cafeteria), Parent Lounges 9B, 10B, and 11, the Quiet Study atrium, and Quiet Study Room D, we will now have the following spaces from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm:

Family Lounge: Spacious, skylight-lit atrium with tables and chairs for lunches, school work, seated play, games, crafts, or computer games/videos (with head phones). For approx. 30-35 people.

Nursery: For toddlers 3 and under when supervised by own parent. This room includes comfy chairs for nursing, changing table, and a toddler sized potty. For 6-8 toddlers at a time.

Meditation Room: Cozy room for up to 5 adults or older kids to meditate.

Also, remember to check Compass’ Drop-Off policy, Parent Proxy program, and special Teen provisions  which allow parents to leave campus while their children are in class. Compass is just 1 minute from the Oakton library and 5 minutes from the Oak Marr RECenter if your family needs another activity in the area.
