Fall Feature: CrossFit Kids Fitness at Compass

Get kids up and moving to start their morning with CrossFit Kids at Compass! CrossFit Kids is a well-rounded, dynamic kids’ fitness program where no two workouts are the same. CrossFit Kids focuses on functional movements that are fundamental to all aspects of play and exercise: pulling, pushing, running, throwing, climbing, lifting, and jumping. Each session’s activities include exercises in 10 target areas:

  • Cardio-vascular endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Accuracy
  • Let kids start their homeschool day with slam balls, rope ladders, kettlebells, jump ropes, and dumbbells before paper, pencil, and protractor. When the weather permits, some exercises may be taken outdoors.

Work-outs are scalable and adaptable to each individual’s own level, and the emphasis in on fun, safety, and personal accomplishment rather than competition among classmates. The physical challenges of CrossFit Kids will foster self-confidence, focus, and help instill a foundation for a lifetime of fitness. All equipment is furnished.

CrossFit Kids meets at 10:00 am on Wednesdays at Compass starting September 12. CrossFit Kids is for homeschoolers in 4th-8th grade. Register for this program and others online!
