Compass Winter Talent and Art Show- Tomorrow!

You are invited to the Compass Winter Talent and Art Show tomorrow evening! This is a fun, social event for our homeschool community where Compass students will showcase their visual and performing arts talents.

Date:  Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Time:  6:00 pm- 7:00 pm- Social Hour/ Art Exhibits

———-7:00 pm- 9:00 pm- Student Talent Show

Location:  2705 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton, VA 22124

———-Sanctuary and Atrium (Upper Building)

For the first hour, homeschool families are invited to network and socialize in the spacious atrium where students’ artwork will be on display. Homeschool Girl Scouts will be selling pizza by the slice, snacks, and drinks during the social hour as a fundraiser for their activities.

The performance portion of the evening will begin at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. Compass students will showcase their talents on instruments, singing, musical ensembles, yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, and more. The program will be officiated by two, talented student emcees.

 

Space remains for 2-4 additional performances if someone wants to sign up last minute!

Students may still decide to exhibit visual arts such as drawings, paintings, photographs, comics, pottery, mosaics, dioramas,  sculptures, or LEGO constructions that they have created. Art pieces that were not submitted ahead of time can be brought on Tuesday by dropping off between 4:00 pm- 5:45 pm. Please e-mail to let us know to expect your art!
