Compass Classes Begin Tomorrow, See What is New!

Fall is officially here, and to kick off the new homeschool year, Compass classes begin tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9!

From individualized theatrical coaching with “Actor’s Workshop” to computer programming with “Design Your Own Video Games”; from an afternoon “Drum Jam” session to “High School Research Fundamentals”, Stage Combat, Arabic classes, or Prototype 3D Printer Lab… Compass has something for everyone.

Check our schedule again…a number of classes that were previously closed now have space available. Check today and see if one fits your child’s schedule, because 16 classes have only 1 or 2 seats remaining! Compass welcomes last minute, same day, walk-up, and late registrations!

This fall is the last year for the one-of-a-kind American History Alive! program. Frederick Douglass will be at Compass tomorrow to kick of the “Age of Progress” program. Shake hands with Teddy Roosevelt, have your picture taken with Thomas Edison, and tell jokes with Mark Twain. Each week a professional, costumed living history interpreter will deliver a compelling first-person portrayal of his or her role in American history, and this is the last time this innovative homeschool program will be offered!

Consider Compass classes if you have some gaps in your curriculum, want to incorporate an outside class, or are looking for a few more social interactions! Compass offers enrichment classes for homeschooled students in K-12. Classes are held in Oakton on Wednesdays for all and Friday for teens. We have a great year planned with experiential classes, special events, community programs, academic clubs and contests, and social opportunities, all in a warm, welcoming setting!
