Brown Bag Lunch-N-Learn Topic: “Answers to Your Questions about Homecshooling in VA”

Compass parents are invited to bring their own bagged lunches this Wednesday, October 1, for a discussion about homeschooling in Virginia. For families new to homeschooling, new to Virginia, or even experienced homeschoolers, two board members of the Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers will be on hand to discuss requirements in VA. Karen Skelton and Stephanie Elms will address common questions about Notices of Intent (NOIs) and Evidence of Progress options such as standardized testing, evaluators, or portfolios. Karen and Stephanie will be able to answer questions about kindergarten options, correspondence/online schools, curriculum descriptions, and more.

Compass will host a monthly Brown Bag Lunch-and-Learn series the first Wednesday of most months to discuss parenting and homeschooling topics. Discussions will take place at 12:00 pm in Room 11.
