4-Week Fit Kids Winter Boot Camp Starts Nov. 20

Have the baseball bats have been put away for the fall and soccer cleats retired for the year? Looking for a way to get your child up and moving when the weather gets cold? Need a way to burn some energy before settling into your schoolwork for the day?

The 4-week Fit Kids Winter Boot Camp starts November 19! This boot camp is a great way for students of any fitness level to try circuit training…without a gym! Homeschoolers will learn to work out all areas of their bodies in a fun, supportive program. This is a great fill-in for students who have completed the RunFit program this fall or others who would benefit from some morning fitness. Fit Kids Winter Boot Camp is for kids ages 2nd grade through adult (yes, parents have signed up too!) The boot camp will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9:45- 10:55 at Compass’s campus in Oakton.

Description:

Fit Kids Winter Boot Camp will teach kids how to keep exercising when the weather gets cold! This boot camp will help improve overall fitness including coordination, muscle strength, muscle endurance, stamina, sports development, and injury prevention. This style of workout is similar to a “circuit” format which alternates cardio and strength training until all muscle groups have been worked. Activities change from week-to-week keeping things fun and interesting. Each week the instructor will introduce different equipment and how to use it safely. Students will also learn how a great workout can come from their surroundings by using their own body weight, playground equipment, and even nature. This is a 4-week program that meets on 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, and 12/17.

The cost of the program is $62.00. Register online today!
