2017 Winter Talent and Art Show at Compass!
Students may now sign-up for the 2017 Winter Talent and Art Show at Compass!
Date: Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017
Time: 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm– Social Hour/ Art Exhibits
7:00 pm- 9:00 pm– Student Talent Show
Location: 2705 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton, VA 22124
Compass students are invited to showcase their talents in a fun, social, community evening! Students may sign up for a 3-4 minute time slot to showcase their skills on an instrument, to sing, dance, perform a comedy skit, act out a dramatic scene, recite a poem or speech, demonstrate a martial art, entertain with mime, magic, juggling, and more! Students are welcome to act or perform solo or in small groups.
For students whose talents are in the visual arts rather than performing arts, the atrium is going to be converted to an art gallery! Students are invited to exhibit up to 3 drawings, paintings, photographs, comics, pottery, mosaics, dioramas, or sculptures that they have created.
The talent show is for students who have been enrolled in Compass classes in 2016-17. Exhibit space and performance time slots are limited! Participating students will receive additional details in early February regarding stage space, recorded music format, mounting artwork, etc.
