Preaux, Sandra

Sandra “Sandy” Preaux is a scientist specializing in geophysics, remote sensing, data analysis, atmospheric chemistry, and astronomy. She also has experience teaching atmospheric science as a teaching assistant for Weather & Climate courses at the University of Maryland. Sandy has also contributed to a variety of science education and outreach efforts. She currently works with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center at the Geodesy and Geophysics Laboratory. Before her NASA work, Sandy worked at NOAA, the Naval Research Laboratory, and the US Naval Observatory. She earned her bachelor’s degree in GeoScience from Penn State University and her master’s degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science from the University of Maryland.
