Manny Arciniega is a percussionist, composer, arranger, and teaching artist based in Silver Spring, Maryland. He serves as Director of Arts at Modern Music Project and is on faculty at Levine Music, where he leads percussion and ensemble-based instruction for students of varying ages and levels. Manny earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Theory Composition from Texas Christian University and a Master of Arts in Timpani and Percussion Performance from the Royal Academy of Music.
Manny has performed internationally with ensembles including the Symphony Orchestra of India, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, and American Pops Orchestra. In the Washington, D.C. region, he is active as a theatre musician and music director, with credits at Round House Theatre, Signature Theatre, and American University. He has also performed in productions at Olney Theatre Center, Constellation Theatre Company, Arena Stage, and Keegan Theatre. His teaching work includes roles with the Kreeger Museum and Arts for the Aging, where he leads percussion and movement-based workshops and supports audio and visual production for educational programming. He has also served as a guest lecturer at Georgetown University, Texas Christian University, and American University.
