Reminder: Early Registration Opens Tomorrow, Feb. 6

Do not forget that Early Registration for Compass spring classes begins tomorrow, Tuesday, February 6 at 6:00 am! A 10% discount is offered through March 1. Spring classes begin the week of March 18. New families are welcome to enroll.

More than 200 classes are offered a-la-carte for homeschooled students in PreK – 12th grade, in math, science, engineering, technology, history, humanities, civics, writing, English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, ASL, art, music, acting, cooking, chess, fitness, swimming, fencing, and more! Be sure to check all five days of Compass’s Monday – Friday schedule. Some new things to check out:

** Animal Kingdom Alive returns with live animal presentations each week in two sessions: Mondays at 11am for 1st-3rd grade and 12pm for 4th-6th grade. Meet: reptiles, raptors, tropical birds, ocean vertebrates and invertebrates, insects, amphibians, and exotic mammals.

** Band-Ready Clinics for percussion, woodwinds, and brass to introduce students to their new instruments in preparation for the Fall 2024 Homeschool Concert Band.

** Spring Workshops: A variety of special one- or two- day workshops are coming up:

  • Valentine’s Cookie Academy (grades 2-6): 3-hour Saturday baking workshop where kids will bake and take 3 types of Valentines’ sweets.
  • The Artistry of Writing (grades 7-12): 2-hour workshops lead by a celebrated fiction author on Compelling Characters (3/5/23); Daring Dialogue (3/19/24); Astounding Action Scenes (4/9/24); and Suspenseful & Scary Scenes (4/23/24).
  • Science Sense (grades 4-6): 1.5 hour afternoon workshops on Pampered Potions (2/6/24); Mystery Lab (2/13/24); Super Sounds Acoustic Engineering (2/20/24); and Human Body Brainteaser (2/27/24).
  • First Aid & CPR for Teens (grades 9-12). Earn 4 certifications in two afternoon sessions (3/18/24 and 3/25/24)

Get involved with Compass to round out your homeschooling experience with small group classes, social opportunities, extracurricular activities/clubs, annual events, and family programs. Registration is also now open on the Activity Fees webpage for several upcoming events:
