Beginning Ukulele

Did you know that the ukulele is not just a miniature guitar? It is a member of the Portuguese lute family, but its sound was popularized in Hawaiian music. Ukulele's fun, compact size also appeals to kids and is a great "first" stringed instrument! In this class, kids will learn how to hold and strum the ukulele. They will learn notes and chords and simple, songs. Students will also learn beginning music skills including reading music. Each student should have a good quality ukulele for the class. Lab/Supply Fee: A class fee of $15.00 is due payable to the instructor on the first day of class for a music notebook.
