Summer is a perfect time for students to get involved in their communities while working toward meaningful awards through Compass’s affiliate partnership with Volunteer Scholars. Students can track volunteer hours, leadership activities, and citizenship experiences in a secure online portal and earn recognition through the American Volunteer Service Award (AVSA), American Citizenship Award (ACA), and National Distinguished Student Leadership Award (NDSLA).
Compass students receive an annual Elite-level membership at No Cost, giving them access to all three awards. Northern Virginia homeschooled students who are not enrolled at Compass may participate at a reduced rate ($49 for Elite-level membership with access to AVSA, ACA, and NDSLA, or $29 for Premier-level membership with access to AVSA only). Compass students and northern Virginia homeschooled students- sign up on the Special Events page. Other students may join Volunteer Scholars directly.
