Ben Stern is an experienced music educator, director, and performing musician who has worked with students from early childhood through high school. He served as a lead music teacher with Music for Life Kids for seven years where he taught group music classes, developed curriculum, and mentored fellow instructors. His school-based teaching experience includes general music, band, orchestra, choir, piano lab, musical theatre, and multimedia music classes for students in grades K–12.

Ben teaches private trumpet in both both classical and jazz styles along with music theory, music arranging, and music history to students of all ages and ability levels. In addition to teaching, Benjamin brings extensive ensemble and performance experience to his students. He performed as a trumpeter with the Baltimore Ravens’ Marching Ravens, appearing at NFL games, postseason events, school programs, and community outreach performances. He has performed as a trumpeter for the National Concert band of America, the Chesapeake Choral Arts Society, and Port Tobacco Players.

Ben earned a Master of Music from Shenandoah Conservatory and a Bachelor of Fine and Performing Arts from Marshall University.
