Eric Jao (aka DJ Enferno) is a music industry professional, DJ, producer, and musician. He brings more than 30 years of experience working in the music industry, touring the world, and performing for more than 3 million people with artists like Madonna (Sticky & Sweet Tour), Shakira (El Dorado World Tour), Rhianna (Loud Tour), Michael Jackson (Immortal World Tour) and Linkin Park (Recharged album). He was the opening act for a 2015 tour of Flo Rida, Wiz Khalifa, Ludacris, and Juicy J. Eric has produced music for the Cirque Du Soleil shows. He has made remixes for Interscope, Warner Bros Music, and Universal and had music productions released on Ultra Records, Universal, Sony, Interscope, Dim Mak, and Mixmash. He produced and performed the remix of the Peanuts theme, “Linus and Lucy” in the 20th Century Fox’s ‘The Peanuts Movie.’ As DJ Enferno, you can look for Eric at DC nightclubs and private events. Eric has promoted music education as a keynote presenter at Berklee College of Music and collaborated with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s education team to design and create lesson plans geared toward elementary, middle, and high school students. He is the developer of the Mix Major curriculum which he teaches kids and teens at Compass and online how to compose, produce, and record their own music with 21st-century technology skills. Eric is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology and the University of Virginia where he earned a B.S. in Commerce with Marketing concentration.
