VenmoJenlene Nowak, known as “Mizz Mozaic” has more than twenty years of experience in mosaic art and instruction. She first discovered mosaics, quickly developed a passion for the craft, and began working at a make-your-own crafting store, where she advanced to manager by 2002. During that time, she taught classes through the store as well as Arlington Community Learning and Fairfax County adult education programs. Jenlene studied at the Chicago Mosaic School, the only accredited mosaic school in North America, and completed additional training in Athens, Greece, working with hand-cut marble and studying classical techniques. She is the founder of Mizz Mozaic, located in Herndon, where she supports five markets: in-person instruction, events, mosaic kits (including mosaics-by-mail), virtual lessons, and commissioned work. Her classes focus on teaching foundational mosaic techniques while guiding students in creating their own finished pieces.
