Dr. Staffany Shock is a an experienced instructor in violin and viola. She has taught at the the Harmonia School of Music and Art in Vienna and at the Shenandoah Valley Preparatory Music Program in Harrisonburg, VA, since 2015. Professionally Steffany performs with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and the Paragon Philharmonia. In the past, she has also performed with Washington Concert Opera, American Festival Pops Orchestra, National String Symphonia, McLean Symphony Orchestra, Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra, and others. She completed twelve levels of Suzuki Violin pedagogy. Steffany earned a Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green University in Ohio; a Master of Musical Arts from Pennsylvania State University; and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from James Madison University.
