Dr. Michele Forsythe is a veteran STEM educator. She was formerly an adjunct professor of Biology at Montgomery County Community College. Currently, she develops curriculum and teaches STEM courses and workshops through her educational program, Discover STEAM Inc. She is known in the homeschool community for her Young Scientists’ Workshops and also tutors students in mathematics. Dr. Forsythe previously worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields, including at the National Institutes of Health where she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology at William Paterson University of New Jersey. She went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.
