Fitzpatrick, Kate

Kate Fitzpatrick is a professional French horn performer and educator with more than 20 years of experience teaching musicians of all levels, from beginners to collegiate players. She previously held the role of Principal Horn of the U.S. Air Force Band for 24 years, the only woman to hold the title in the band’s 84-year history. Kate has taught music to over 175 private students and has served as a clinician and instructor leading high school and collegiate sectionals and youth ensembles. She has collaborated with orchestras, chamber groups and opera companies in an array of diverse genres. Kate is trained in the Suzuki method of teaching music and is a certified specialist in natural and baroque horn performance.
