“Who ‘Dunnit?” Create and Act in a Murder Mystery
“Mystery on Demand” is an acting class that mimics an on-stage version of “Clue.” In this class, students will decide as a group where and when their murder mystery will take place. Will the crime be committed on a cruise ship or train? In an elegant restaurant or the local mall? 1920s or present day? Actors decide! Next, students work to create their own colorful persona, circumstances, conflicts…and alibis! Each week the class will work to hone their characters, practice impromptu responses “in character” and will further develop the details of the crime. It won’t be until the final performance when suspects are revealed and the actors and audience finds out “Who Dunnit!”
“Acting Unscripted: Mystery on Demand” is offered at Compass for students in grades 6th-8th grade (mature 5th graders invited) starting October 26. This 7-week class is held from 1:00 – 1:55 pm on Wednesdays. Register for this class or others online.
