Experiencing some ups and downs in homeschooling this year? Hit a mid-year hump? Compass has some options to help your family get “back on track!”

  • Muddled Mathematics? Enroll in MATH LAB, a tutoring center for weekly help on math homework. Support offered for middle school math through Algebra I. Two sessions: Wednesdays at 3:00 pm or Fridays at 2:00 pm, register for one or both, for grades 6-10.
  • Roadblocks in Writing? Enroll in WRITING LAB, a semester-long workshop for reluctant writers through budding authors. Work with an experienced writing coach and peer revision groups to advance your writing. Wednesdays at 3:00 pm, grades 8-12.
  • Meltdown over Multiplication? Enroll in MATH FACT FOUNDATIONS: MULTIPLICATION . Learn multiplication facts once and for all through in-class games and activities. Don’t let multiplication mix-ups get in the way of long division, fractions, decimals, and more down the road. Wednesdays at 10:00 am, grades 3-5.
  • Disorganized Teen? Enroll in SUCCESS SKILLS FOR SCHOOL: HIGH SCHOOL & BEYOND to learn different strategies for time management, study skills, personal organization, and more. Fridays at 10:00 am, grades 8-12.
  • Struggling Social Skills? Enroll in SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL SKILLS FOR TWEENS Every adolescent can benefit from improved social skills, but some need a little more practice. Work with a certified, licensed therapist (behavior analyst) to develop strategies for navigating different social challenges through role playing and small group activities. Wednesdays at 10:00 am, grades 6-8.
  • Lab Work Lacking? Enroll in BIO-CHEM LEARNING LABSto add some hands-on lab work to your online or textbook work. Perform biology, chemistry, and environmental science experiments in a university laboratory setting! 4 sessions held at Towson University’s Center for STEM Excellence in downtown Baltimore on February 11, March 10, April 14, and May 12, 2020. (Ages 13+)
  • Is there another area that you haven’t covered this year as planned? Compass has core courses in math, writing, literature, science, history, civics, and dozens of unique electives. Let Compass help you get your homeschool year back on track! Registration is now open for winter classes (2nd semester/3rd quarter) for homeschoolers in K-12. Classes begin January 8 and 10.
