Tween & Teen Art Classes Begin this Week

Has your tween/teen begun homeschool academics this fall but still needs a fun and creative elective to break up the week? Compass has some art classes that are just beginning this week:

Anyone Can Draw!…Drawing fundamentals in pencil and charcoal, pen-and-ink, and colored pencils taught by Lori Goll. For 7th – 9th graders (mature 6th & 10th graders welcome) at 3:00 pm on Wednesdays, starting 9/18

Paint Studio I…introduction to line, color, shape, and texture in acrylic paints taught by Luc Atangana. For grades 7th – adult (mature 6th graders and homeschool parents welcome) at 10:00 am on Fridays, starting 9/20

Paint Studio II…advanced fundamentals in acrylic paint including color studies and effects with color families taught by Luc Atangana. For grades 8th – adult (with prior acrylic painting experience) at 9:00 am on Fridays, starting 9/20

Mosaic Masterpieces Open Studio…the open studio started earlier this month, but students can begin at any time. Design, cutting, layout, and finishing techniques with glass, ceramic, and porcelain tiles and accents in glass gems, millifiori, sliced stone, metallic ornaments, mirrored bits, or shells. Taught by Mylene Nyman. For grades 7th – adult (mature 6th graders and homeschool parents welcome) at 1:00 pm on Fridays, ongoing.
