The Science Place Summer Camps Meet at Compass! Register Now

The Science Place is holding in-person, hands-on summer science camps at Compass’s location in Herndon! Spaces are still available in these immersive, interactive programs for scientists of all ages. Choose from full-day or flexible half-day programs (2, 3, or 5 days, AM or PM). Programs consist of structured time and guided exploration in activity centers with interdisciplinary topics spanning biology, chemistry, physics, math and engineering. 

Ocean Expedition: July 12-16

Space Odyssey: July 19-23

Earth Explorers: July 26-30

The Science Place summer camps are under the direction of one of Compass’s long-time science teachers, Dr. Karleen Boyle “Dr. B” who has directed the Science Place since 2011. If there is enough interest, the Science Place will continue summer programs into the month of August with Spy Academy (August 2-6), Forensics Academy (August 9-13) and Science Explorers (August 16-20).
