Shaibani, Paula

Paula Shaibani is the instructor for Latin I, Mythology, Advertising/Marketing, and Newspaper. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with honors in her double major: Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising. Paula’s knowledge of classical languages includes Ancient Greek and Latin, the latter of which she studied for nine years and tutored for four. She placed on the National Latin Exam for six years, earned the Order of the Owl Latin award, and was a member of Eta Sigma Phi, a national classics collegiate honor society. She attended college as a National Merit Scholar after graduating at age 16 from a Governor’s School for Science and Technology and was homeschooled for several years before that. Paula is an accomplished gymnast in artistic events and T & T (tumbling and trampoline) with 11 state titles and 3 regional titles having qualified for nationals 8 times and been a national finalist 3 times. She has extensive experience working with students in K-12 both in academic tutoring and coaching at various recreation centers, camps, clinics, gymnastics centers, and high school teams.
