Okun, Judy
Judy Okun is an experienced geography and history instructor. She is currently an adjunct instructor in the Departments of Geography at two universities: Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, where she is the faculty advisor to a geography honors society, and West Chester University in West Chester, PA, where she was recognized with an Outstanding Faculty Award in 2020. She has also taught at Gloucester County College (Sewell, NJ), Rowan College at Burlington County (Mount Laurel, NJ), Camden County College (Blackwood, NJ), and Kingsborough Community College (Brooklyn, NY). Judy regularly leads workshops and gives lectures for lifelong learning and adult education programs. She has taught courses covering US history, history of western civilization, world geography, physical and cultural geography, Earth People, and the Environment, and others. In the past, Judy was involved in curriculum development for the National Park Conservation Association and the Lowell National Historical Park and also worked as a reader/scorer for AP essay questions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at New York University, a Master of Arts in Environmental Conservation Policy and Education from New York University, and a Master of Arts in History at Villanova University.
