Newbold, David
David Newbold is a comic book artist and creator who lives in the northern Virginia area. David’s credits include inking issues of Marvel Comics such as Marvel Age Spider-Man, Marvel Age Fantastic Four, along with work on Marvel’s Deadpool, Runaways and Weapon X series. He currently illustrates the combat/action/supernatural comic series The Oldest Road for Outland Entertainment. Some of David’s past projects included illustrations for Devils’ Due Comics, Stache Comics Publishing, Boston Comics Roundtable, Outre Press, and sketch cards of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp for Upper Deck (a trading card publisher). He does storyboarding, graphics, animations and illustrations for Rendia (formerly Eyemaginations) in Towson, MD. David teaches comic design classes to youth at Michael’s Arts & Crafts stores. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from West Virginia University before being accepted to the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Art in Dover, NJ. David works in pen, ink, watercolor, charcoal, oil, and computer-based animation and modelling programs as a freelance artist and illustrator from his home in Brambleton, VA.
