Basma Abdelmoneim

Basma Abdelmoneim is a Program Manager at Compass. Basma received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Economics, from The American University in Cairo; part of her studies was completed at the American University in DC. She worked in the corporate division of the Egyptian American Bank, an American Express subsidiary, evaluating multinational pharmaceutical and petrochemical clients’ commercial loan eligibility. In 1998, Basma relocated back to the United States. She worked at Sylvan Learning Center in the field of supplemental education and ultimately held the position of Center Director. Basma has always been passionate about educating young minds and advocates both experiential and hands on learning. Basma resides in Haymarket with her husband and teenage son, whom they previously home-schooled.
