Hoeck, Katherine

Katherine Hoeck is a research scientist, mathematician, and educator who received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from Shepherd University. During her time at Shepherd, she led research projects in the areas of physical computing, mathematical modeling, differential equations, and big data research and data mining. She has 5 years of experience teaching STEM programs in both formal and informal environments at the middle school and high school levels. She recently worked as a STEM instructor for AviationEd where she facilitated afterschool programs, enrichment classes, and camps in the areas of aeronautics and aviation. Katherine currently works as a field researcher for the University of Michigan and is the founder of an educational non-profit, STEM Academy, Inc.
