One Week Left to Submit Applications for Volunteer and Citizenship Awards!

Did your child volunteer this summer?

Has your family done projects and taken field trips to learn about the government, citizenship, and patriotism?

If so, your homeschooled child can earn awards for the activities you are probably already doing! Compass is a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. Compass is now also awarding the American Citizenship Award to homeschooled students. New this year is that Compass is now offering both of these award opportunities at no cost to homeschooled students in the metro-DC area. Students throughout the homeschool community can be recognized for their service and citizenship. Recipients no longer have to exclusively be enrolled at Compass.

Applications for the 2018-2019 award year must be received in one week, by August 31!

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) and the American Citizenship Award (ACA) can both be noteworthy recognitions on a student’s resume, and they can be used as credentials when a teen applies to college and for other selective awards and programs. The award year runs from September 1, 2018, through August 31, 2019. Homeschoolers can earn these awards year after year.
