New for fall! Compass Kindergarten
This one-day, 3-hour (half-day) program is a “taste” of kindergarten for 5- year-olds. Start your child’s week off right with “Monday mornings with Miss M” at Compass Kindergarten. Homeschooled little ones will benefit from the routine of their own once-weekly get-together while enjoying the flexibility and freedom of homeschooling the rest of the week. Compass kindergartners will:
- work in a small group with an experienced early elementary educator
- thrive in a dynamic, play-based program that offers regular interaction and socialization.
- enjoy a bit of rhythm and routine in their homeschool week.
- gain a sense of community and a peer group.
- practice key childhood social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and entering play with others.
- be exposed to academic basics (ABCs, days of the week, colors, shapes, and number sense) through games, fairy tales, nature, and art
Kindergartners will need to bring a snack and a bagged lunch each week. This is a drop-off program that meets from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Mondays starting September 12. Registration is for a 13-week semester. The teacher will provide ideas for parents to work on at home with their child during the week. Spaces are limited. Register for Compass Kindergarten HERE.
