Get Involved! Clubs, Teams, and Activities at Compass this Year!
Compass has a variety of clubs, teams, and activities planned for the coming year! Some are open only to Compass students, and some are open to others in the homeschool community. Follow links below for more information and to sign up!
Practice and participate in area quiz bowls to answer questions on history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more. Weekly meetings and competitions conducted virtually.
Student-led organization promoting scholarship, academic excellence, networking, service projects, and socials. Fall monthly meetings conducted hybrid- in person or virtual.
Staff and guest writers needed to contribute creative writing, short stories, poetry, reviews (movie, video, book, or toys), puzzles, riddles, jokes, photos, artwork, comics, or opinion pieces. Staff meets in person; writers can contribute via e-mail.
Teens strong in public speaking, debate, or acting, or interested in law are needed to portray witnesses and attorneys in a mock murder case. Practices held in person; competitions conducted virtually.
Passionate student writers serve as authors and editors for annual anthology through Compass Literarians class. Contributing writers and artists sought 2nd semester. Editorial board meets virtually weekly 1st semester. Contributors submit via e-mail.
Teens interested in competitive speaking meet to plan and practice for oration contests. Meetings held in person.
Kids who love to words and spelling play games and complete puzzles featuring word families, word roots, and word origins along with practice spelling bees. Meetings held in person.
Middle school girls tackle a community problem by learning to code an app to address the issue and connect resources and needs through Code for a Cause class. Class meets in person.
