Fall Feature: Middle School Fiction Writing

Middle school students will discover how historical facts and creativity collide when writing historical fiction! Tweens will hone their writing skills through fun, fact-inspired fiction in the style of favorite novels such as Little House on the Prairie, Johnny Tremain, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, and the Royal Diaries series.

Middle school students will learn that great writing doesn’t always begin “from scratch.” Students will examine popular storylines to uncover “formula”, or template storyline, for writing original fiction using a historical period or event that they select.

Formula for Fiction: Historical Writing is a 7-week workshop that meets on Fridays at 10:00 am starting October 25. Register for this class today!
