Earn the President’s Volunteer Service Award this Summer

Earn the President’s Volunteer Service Award this summer! Twelve weeks remain for homeschooled kids, ages 6-18, to earn this year’s PVSA Award through Compass!

After limited options for virtual community servive last year, camps, historic sites, libraries, parks, and community programs are once again open for kids and teens to volunteer. For those who still prefer to work virtually, a variety of online and at-home opportunities exist from citizen scientist activities to recording audio books and letter writing campaigns. Teens- earn the PVSA award to demonstrate to colleges your community involvement and leadership.

If you are interested in earning the PVSA recognition, please read all Compass program details including dates, how to document your work, and what kinds of volunteer work you can do. Compass will certify the PVSA for area homeschooled students, including those who do not attend Compass classes. Students should sign up to let us know who is working on the award and to receive PVSA-specific reminders. There is no cost for a Compass student to earn the award; there is a nominal facility/activity fee for non-Compass students to earn the award. Sign up today.
