Compass Offers Several Virtual High School Classes
Contingent upon everything re-opening in September, Compass plans to return to in-person classes this Fall! A key component of the Compass COVID plan is reduced class sizes, meaning several classes have already filled and have Wait Lists after registration opened last week.
To accommodate students who could not get into a live class, and for those who are unable to attend in person in the fall, several high school classes will have separate, virtual sections offered in addition to the in-person class sections. The virtual class options may also help those who have a schedule conflict and need more than one class in the same hour! If you have a homeschooled high school students, check out:
Principles of Biology (Honors or On-Level) *ONLINE* taught by Tia Murchie-Beyma
-Mondays from 8:00 am – 8:55 am + Thursdays 1:00 pm- 2:30 pm
Spy Games RPG, The History of Espionage in The Civil War *ONLINE* taught by Taliesin Knol
-Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 11:55 am
The History of WWII: From Looming War through Stalingrad *ONLINE* taught by Hugh Gardner
-Wednesdays from 1:00 pm- 3:30 pm
US Government and Politics (Honors or On Level) *ONLINE* taught by Tia Murchie-Beyma
-Mondays from 9:00 am – 9:55 am + Thursdays from 3:00 pm- 3:55 pm
In addition, several other classes are considered “Hybrid” classes which will begin in the fall in a virtual classroom with the teacher’s option to return to in-person instruction as COVID-19 scenarios improve. When that takes place, the full class will transition to in-person.
