Join Compass next year for our 10th year! We are continuing to innovate and bring more opportunities to homeschool families! More than 150 classes are offered a-la-carte for homeschooled students in PreK – 12th grade, in math, science, engineering, technology, history, humanities, civics, writing, English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, ASL, art, music, drama, cooking, chess, fitness, fencing, and more! Be sure to check all five days of Compass’s Monday – Friday schedule. New families are welcome to enroll.

Compass will be expanding its facilities over the summer with an annex that will add a large activity room, coding/robotics lab, music room, kitchen, tutoring room, and more commons space.
American History Alive returns to Compass on Thursdays. Meet a costumed, living history presenter each week for a first person discussion of their place in history. Maryland families can look for a second, Montgomery County session of American History Alive on Thursday afternoons.
18 cooking, baking, and confections classes return to Compass this fall.
More than a dozen career exploration classes are offered for high school students.
Our popular Nature Quest programs are expanded to include a PreK-K level, Outdoor Survivor for 5th-6th graders, and a full day section of Natural Leaders for 6th-8th graderes.
More technology classes with 16 coding and robotics classes for all ages plus cybersecurity for teens.
Expanded theater program with 12 classes for 1st-12th grade ranging from write-your-own, improv, scripted, costume design, directing, Shakespeare workshops, and Stage Combat.
New afterschool, Saturday, and virtual class options have been added for our friends and neighbors who can’t join us during the day.
Compass has partnered with the Herndon William P Knight Squadron of Civil Air Partrol. CAP will be meeting at Compass every Thursday evening, starting May 20. CAP is a popular extracurricular activity for homeschooled students ages 12+ with aerospace education, pilot orientation, rocketry, emergency services training, cyber security competition, physical fitness, and a robust student leadership program.
