Create family keepsakes! Paint one-of-a-kind, personalized gifts and get a head start on the holidays!

Hand paint a plate for Grandma’s cookies, a mug for dad’s coffee, or a bowl for brother’s ice cream. Decorate holiday ornaments.

Join Compass for a family our annual Paint-Your-Own Pottery Party on Thursday, November 19! Kids can paint plates, bowls, mugs, cups, figurines, or a set of 3 mix-and-match ornaments.

Painting will be done studio-style at Compass, and pieces will be fired, glazed, and returned no later than Monday, November 30. Register for a session beginning at 10am, 11am, or 12pm, but stay as long as you’d like (ending by 1:30 pm). This is not a drop-off event: parents must remain with their child(ren) under age 12. Parents are welcome to register and paint items themselves.

The cost per piece is lower than local pottery studios, and there is no separate studio fee. The early registration price is $18.00 for one item; $35.00 for two items; or $50.00 for three items. (Pre-paid packages of 2 or 3 items is per painter and cannot be divided among siblings. Siblings should register separately.) Reserve your paint time and pre-pay for 1, 2, or 3 pieces now through the Compass Activity Admissions webpage.

This event is being hosted by Peace of Pottery of Manassas, a homeschool mom-owned business. A portion of event proceeds will go towards funding next year’s PVSA awards for homeschoolers. Painters will be expected to wear masks, and family groups will be seated apart per Compass’s COVID Policy.
