Compass Science Fair * Show What You Know Expo * Hands On Labs & Activity Stations
Bring your whole family out to celebrate and explore science and technology! Students in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in the Compass Science Fair. This is a judged competition, and a good opportunity for a first time science fair project. Students of all ages can show off a favorite science topic, invention, or hobby in the a fun showcase of students’ STEM interests and hobbies in the Show-What-You-Know Expo. Finally, kids can experiment at Hands-On Labs/Activity Stations with experiments and demonstrations.
Students must register for the Science Fair and Show-What-You-Know Expo by October 24. Entry fees for Science Fair and Show-What-You-Know Expo include the participant’s admission to Homeschool Family Science Night. Parents, siblings, and friends who are not exhibiting are encouraged to participate in Homeschool Family Science Night for the hands-on labs and demonstrations.
Admission is on sale through the Compass store. (Note that this event is being handled through the “Store” instead of through class registration. Online/credit card payments are accepted through PayPal, or by cash/check in person on Wednesdays at Compass.)
Homeschool Family Science Night will be held at 2705 Hunter Mill Road in Oakton on the Compass campus. See event pages for guidelines on the Science Fair and Show-What-You-Know Expo. Compass families are those with at least one child currently enrolled in Compass classes. Non-Compass families are any other homeschool families who wish to join us for this event. Watch for an forthcoming details about the labs, activity stations, demonstrations, and performances. Admission and entry fees are non refundable.
