7th-9th Grade? Innovative New Writing Class

Do you have a 7th, 8th, or 9th grade student? If so, it is time to tackle writing. Check out Compass’s newest writing class, Write to the Point (Thursdays at 12pm).

Do not overlook writing skills for middle school and beginning high school students! Solid writing skills will carry them through high school work and beyond. In this class, students will write paragraphs and short articles to hone key composition skills such as defining their topic, audience, and purpose. The class will practice effective paragraph structure (openings statements, main point (or thesis), supporting details, closing sentences, and linking multiple paragraphs, and writing/grammar basics)…all while enjoying the support and camaraderie of in-person classmates.
