This is the entry fee for a Compass student to participate in the Junior Spelling Bee. The Junior Bee (ages 8 and under) will be held on Wednesday, February 6, at 4:30 pm at Compass. NatGeo Explorer: Voyager edition is a science and nature themed classroom magazine subscription for Kindergarten and 1st grade reading levels. Each edition is 24-pages long with full color illustrations and no advertisements. For the 2018-19 school year, 7 editions will be published in September, October, November, January, March, April, and May. Magazines will be distributed at Compass in Oakton, VA. This is the entry fee for the Annual Compass Homeschool Quad Chess Tournament. The event is open to any homeschooled chess player, age 6-16. The tournament will be held in Picnic Shelter A at Nottoway Park in Vienna right before the annual Compass family picnic and field day. The tournaments will begin at 9:30 am. Students must arrive by 9:15 am to sign in and be placed in quad groups. The tournament will end approximately 12:30 pm, with a brief awards ceremony at the end. Participants will receive a certificate, and quad winners will receive medals.

Time for Kids is a classroom magazine that covers current events, national news, culture, arts, discoveries, and interesting people for a 1st/2nd grade reading level. Each edition is 4 pages long in full color, and with no advertisements. Bundles of 4 editions will be issued monthly during September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May, for a total of 28 issues. Magazines will be distributed at Compass in Oakton, VA.
